Private Guiding
Engage a British Accompagnateur en Montagne (International Mountain Leader) to explore the classic treks of the Chamonix valley along with the more remote parts of the Mont-Blanc region. Surrounding the Alps’ highest mountain is a hugely varied hiking paradise that straddles three countries. We can organise hiking on the classic balcony trails above Chamonix, with some of the best views in the Alps. Or we can head in to the Swiss Val Ferret or Val de Bagnes for an authentic slice of pastoral Switzerland. On the other side of Mont-Blanc we find Italy, where scenic walks are punctuated by great food and drink.
If you are looking for the road less travelled, you could do worse than try the Ecrins massif. White Marmotte began in the Ecrins National Park, and we still offer trips there. The park is both the largest and highest National Park in France, covering 918 square kilometres and rising to 4102m at the summit of the Barre des Ecrins. Only three hours from Chamonix, the hiking trails in the region are quieter than those around Mont Blanc. As a result, we find the trekking here in the Southern French Alps a lot more laid back.
